Dr John Jacob
Dr John qualified at the University of Queensland Dental School in the mid 1970s. He completed ten year service with the RAAF, learning from many specialists and taking time out to research many projects and treatment plans.
John met his lovely wife Janette during that time, and they travelled the world together, before starting their family of three children. John and Janette decided to raise their family in a country town, and settled in Atherton in 1989, when the Robert Street Dental Practice was purchased.
Dr John has undertaken further study in the areas of dental implants and dental surgery, offering areas of complex treatment, placement and restoration of dental implants and removal of wisdom teeth under general anaesthetic.
Outside of dental hours, Dr John likes to travel with Janette, spend time with his family and friends and sail. He cruises in the family's trailer sailer, and races his Tasar dinghy on beautiful Lake Tinaroo.
Dr Carl Boundy
Dr Carl Boundy graduated from the University of Queensland in 2007 after which he spent three years at the Atherton hospital. From there he was senior dentist at the Gold Coast hospital, worked in Alice Springs and established a dental clinic in the desert of Western Australia before returning to Atherton and Robert Street Dental in 2012.
Carl prides himself in providing quality, caring dentistry and delivering the level of service patients of Robert Street have come to expect over many years.
When not a dentist Carl enjoys tennis, fishing, camping, bush walking, rogaining, outrigger canoeing, squash and the company of his wife Michele.
Dr Fiona Conneff
Dr Conneff received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Glasgow U.K. in 1990.
After graduation Fiona worked in Scotland in general practice. She arrived in Australia in 1997 and worked extensively throughout NSW & Victoria.
Fiona has lived and worked on the Tablelands since 1998.
Fiona is passionate about helping her patients attain perfect oral health. She is a firm believer in prevention to maintain a healthy mouth for life.
Fiona will work with you to tailor strategies and treatment around your needs.
Fiona is gentle and caring and she strives to make all her patients comfortable.
Dr John Hur
Dr. John (Jongwook) Hur graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He likes to spend time getting to know his patients and their needs and takes pride in his attention to detail, he believes that visiting a dentist needs to be pleasant and enjoyable. John puts in effort so that you are satisfied with his service and will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable and pain free.
John has a special interest in complex restorations and in treating kids and adolescents. He regularly attends courses to further his education and expertise in complex restorative techniques and has extensive knowledge around jaw development, breathing, airway and sleep issues in kids.
Dr John Hur has lived in many countries worldwide and after finishing his high school education in New Zealand, moved to Australia to pursue his dental career. When John is not at work his interests include music (he is an avid pianist and accomplished singer), cooking and amateur photography. John also enjoys hiking and the outdoors and has already discovered Lake Tinaroo with its boating and fishing and in his spare time likes to play tennis and basketball.
